What is a Gothic Themed Fall Wedding?

Main Elements of Gothic Style

Gothic themed weddings are best known for being theatrical, dark, and even a little morbid at times. From skeletons and spiders to spikes, candlesticks, and a lot of black. The main elements of gothic wedding style include a dark and moody color palette combined with lavish details to create a sense of fantasy. Antique influences, particularly from the Victorian era, are another huge component of this style. Some of the most popular gothic wedding ideas include skeletons, pumpkins, candles, chandeliers, red roses, and black wedding dresses.

Here at County Line Event Center, our outdoor ceremony location, and indoor event venue are the perfect venue locations for your gothic themed wedding.

Our outdoor ceremony pavilion can be leveraged to incorporate the natural hues of fall with your chosen color palette. Example color palettes that could work well outdoors, would be amber, gold, burnt orange, and moss green, or blood red, bordeaux, deep plum, forest green, and regal purple. Imagine your floral arrangements in black orchids, tulips and hyacinth, or skulls, feathers, dark leaves, and even baby’s breath.

In our small to mid-size indoor event venue of 130 guests or under, imagine centerpieces of large candlesticks filled with drip candles, natural animal skulls, along with intricate black coffins. Or, you could focus on highlighting our rustic wood furnishings with painted mini pumpkins, pinecones, dried fruits such as blood-oranges and pomegranate. Smoke bombs, or a fog machine can be used to add that little extra touch!
